• The Pantanal is an
ecosystem of exuberant beauty that attracts more and more a great legion of
tourists of all parts of the world. Our visitors will never forget the
landscapes, the varied fauna and flora, the majestic river Paraguay and its
countless tributaries, habitat of a
great variety of fish.
• Fishing: Among the several modalities of tourism, the fishing is one of
the most traditional in the Pantanal, whose rivers are famous for the
abundance of species.
In the State of South Mato Grosso, the first hotel that was improvised to assist
specifically the tourist of fishing appeared in 1972. Some years later,
several boat-hotels and fishing-hotels were build specially to receive the
great number of visitors, with increasingly levels of sophistication.
The fishing tourist programs have, on average, five days of duration using boat-hotels, called "mother-ships" as
lodging structure. The fishing
itself, is practiced on board of small motor boats, usually for two
fishermen and a fishing guide/pilot. |
